Er was wat motregen en mist, waardoor we niet altijd het helderste zicht hadden. Het was dus niet zo erg dat we niet de hele tijd buiten konden zijn. De rit naar Halong Bay is eenvoudig omdat er een <strong>snelweg is die Hanoi met Halong Bay verbindt. <\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Je kunt ook in Cat Ba verblijven, dichtbij de plek waar de meeste cruiseschepen vertrekken.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Wanneer je een cruise bij <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.indochina-junk.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Indochina Junk<\/a><\/strong> boekt, <strong>halen ze je op bij je hotel in Hanoi met een luxe busje<\/strong>. Wij vonden onze <strong>Engelssprekende chauffeur<\/strong> bovendien zeer professioneel in het verkeer (wat in Vietnam niet altijd vanzelfsprekend is). Na een korte introductie over de reisroute van 3 dagen en 2 nachten en wat veiligheidsinformatie, is het tijd om onze kamers te ontdekken.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Voor ons gezin van vier hebben we <strong>2 prachtige onderling verbonden tweepersoonsslaapkamers<\/strong> met grote ramen. Zo heb je gedurende de volledige reis een mooi zicht op de baai. En&#8230; onze badkamer heeft zelfs <strong>een ligbad met uitzicht op het karstgebergte<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Na onze eerste lunch aan boord met heerlijke visgerechten, is het tijd om <a href=\"https:\/\/www.indochina-junk.com\/bai-tu-long-bay\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Bai Tu Long Bay<\/strong><\/a> te verkennen. Het is iets minder bekend dan de traditionele Halong Bay, maar Bai Tu Long Bay biedt even adembenemende landschappen. En er zijn minder toeristen dan in Halong Bay (een van de belangrijkste redenen waarom we deze cruise wilden maken).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Onze eerste bestemming is het <a href=\"https:\/\/www.indochina-junk.com\/experiences-vung-vieng-fishing-village\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>vissersdorp Vung Vieng<\/strong><\/a>, waar de lokale vissers ons meenemen op bamboeboten om hun kleine drijvende dorp te verkennen. De landschappen en reflecties op het water zijn prachtig omdat het een beetje mistig weer is (maar geen wind). Terwijl de honden de huizen beschermen varen wij tussen de karsten. Naast het restaurant is er een zone <strong>waar de kinderen gezelschapspelletjes<\/strong> kunnen spelen of hun golfvaardigheden kunnen oefenen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Het diner wordt om 19.00 uur binnen geserveerd door <strong> het fantastische personeel. <\/strong> Het eten is overheerlijk en een mix van groenten, rijst, zeevruchten en vlees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Na het eten is het tijd om te gaan vissen op <strong>inktvis<\/strong>. Met niet meer dan een bamboestok proberen we de inktvis met het licht te lokken en te vangen terwijl ze het aas pakken. En ja, we vangen wel wat inktvisjes, maar die zijn nogal klein om te eten. Voor het ontbijt gaan we al naar het zonnedek<\/strong> om te genieten van de prachtige baai. Er hangt wat mist en wat regen, maar het is allemaal zo sereen en vredig.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Vandaag bezoeken we de <a href=\"https:\/\/www.indochina-junk.com\/experiences-thien-canh-son-cave\/\"><strong>Thien Canh Son-grot<\/strong><\/a>, waarschijnlijk de mooiste natuurlijke grot in Bai Tu Long Bay. Na 100 trappen te hebben gelopen, kun je de <strong>stalactieten en stalagmieten<\/strong> zien die in de loop van duizenden jaren zijn gevormd. Naast de grot ligt een prachtig klein strand, vergeet niet dit te bezoeken.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Helaas komt is dit al het einde en om 10.00 uur is het tijd om uit te checken.
