Sanur is situated in the South-East of Bali. Although it’s not centrally located, it is one of the favourite spots for families travelling with smaller kids. We loved our time here with the girls. Imagine sitting on the beach, enjoying some food or a drink, while the kids play in the sand of these endless beaches. Time for a dip in the water? The sea here is shallow, safe and clear, perfect for little kids! Sounds perfect don’t you think?
Adults or bigger kids will have fun too, as the reef protecting these beaches and keeping the big waves away, offer great snorkelling opportunities. Beyond the reef, there are even surf opportunities. If you’re headed to Bali as a family, definitely consider staying in Sanur. It won’t be as busy as Kuta or Seminyak, with fewer activities, but it will be perfect for a family trip. As mentioned before, finding the right family accommodation isn’t always easy. Probably the main downside is the location, being 1,5 km away from the beach. Restaurants and bars are only a 2 min walk away. The restaurant offers a very delicious breakfast. The rooms are quite big and clean. As always, the staff here in Bali is very friendly. If you want to relax, they also have a Spa attached to the hotel. They even offer to organise birthday parties for your kids on request.
